April 12, 2018

Congratulations to Sheena Brown, Christine Kebalo, Yuliya Lappo and Stephanie Alves, four Paralegal Education Diploma students and grads who have secured wonderful post-graduation opportunities.

Sheena Brown

Sheena Brown has been recently hired to work for the Pay Equity Commission in a paid placement position starting this spring. "I am a second-year student in the Paralegal Education diploma program, and I have been passionate about pursuing a career in the legal field since I was a young child. I have made the absolute most of every opportunity available to me at Humber during the program. In addition to my school community and leadership involvement, I have made lasting impressions on my faculty and classmates and have earned a cumulative GPA of 93%."

Stephanie Alves

Stephanie Alves - A 2017 graduate and P1 Licensee - has been recently hired to work as a court reporter in the Newmarket courts. "My time at Humber was excellent! Getting to know my classmates and professors didn't take very long. The students were great and very motivated like myself. The professors were inspiring and very dedicated to their students. The Paralegal Education Program equipped me with the tools I needed to succeed. The program taught me to be a professional in the legal field. With the guidance of the faculty I was able to get a desirable field placement that led to my employment. I am a licensed Paralegal and employed with Ministry of Attorney General. Thank you Humber for helping me to succeed!"

Congratulations as well to Yuliya Lappo and Christine Kebalo, who have also secured excellent opportunities. Yuliya Lappo - A 2015 graduate and P1 Licensee - was recently admitted to Osgoode Hall Law School and will be starting her studies there in September 2018. Christine Kebalo - A 2016 graduate and P1 Licensee - was recently hired as a permanent prosecutor at the MOL legal services branch after serving in that role in a contract position over the last year.
