FASHION ARTS & BUSINESS STUDENTS GAIN REAL-WORLD RETAIL EXPERIENCE

February 5, 2019

Our final semester Fashion Arts & Business students were very thrilled when they realized that their Global Store Operations course led by Anna Zamparo would be introducing them first hand to the world of global retail in Canada. The experiential learning course has been collaborating with Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre for 6 years now and we are very excited to announce that for 2019, we have added Mississauga Square One Shopping Centre to the mix. Both Ivanhoe Cambridge ( Vaughan Mills) and Oxford Properties (Square One) represent major players in the Shopping Centre Industry in Canada and students were introduced to the General Managers and key Management in both these centres.

The final semester students will be challenged to think beyond retail products and look to create and bring to life business concepts targeted at creating a customer experience that will draw traffic to the shopping centres. Drawing from their acquired knowledge and experience with Marketing & Social Media studies, Trends, Visual Presentation, Photoshop and other courses. This project will allow students to package all their learning and impress the panel of judges from both Humber's Business School and the Shopping Centres.

Stay tuned for the results of the presentations at the end of March.
