FOOD STARTER ENTREPRENEURS PARTICIPATE IN HUMBER'S BACHELOR OF COMMERCE CAPSTONE PROJECT

February 27, 2017

Food Starter entrepreneurs have been working with Humber College professors Pierre-Pascal Gendron and Youssef Youssef to create an opportunity for clients to work with graduating students in the Bachelor of Commerce program.

Bachelor of Commerce students are required to complete and pass a Capstone Project worth 60% of their final grade to in order graduate. This project allows students to work with Food Starter clients and create a strategic document for a real company.

Humber has matched student groups with Food Starter entrepreneurs to help them grow their existing food businesses. Students in the Capstone Program have the opportunity to work one-on-one with business owners and learn hands-on transferable skills.

This program will help students become more employable with real-life experience while also introducing the food business to the next generation of business people.
