HUMBER ALUMNI OFFER CAREER TIPS AND ADVICE TO HRM GRADUATING CLASS

May 9, 2017

On April 15th, the Humber Human Resources Society, a student-run and elected committee that arranges campus events, organized an alumni panel discussion titled, Life After Humber, for the Human Resources Management graduating class. The alumni in attendance included Sophia Jaffer, Karam Tawfiq, Leo Pasia and Marina Pisanjuk who all hold HR positions at various corporations.

The event’s moderator, Joaquin Martinez, asked the panel about their current positions, as well as the various challenges and learning experiences they have encountered in their positions. The panel offered the graduating students in attendance insightful and motivating advice about the demands and realities of working in an HR position.

The event was an incredible and motivating experience for everyone in attendance. Thank you to the alumni panel for giving back to the Humber community and contributing to students’ success and engagement. Another big thank you goes to HHRS 2016-2017 executive team members Michael S., Andrew B., Michael C., Joaquin M. and Kaylee S. for facilitating and organizing the panel.
