Humber Travels to Ningbo, China for a Celebration of Partnership

The Humber-Ningbo program, which began in 1996, is the college’s longest-standing international partnership and has produced more than 2,000 graduates.

The anniversary celebration took place on Ningbo University’s campus where Humber President, Chris Whitaker and Ningbo University Vice President, Yan Xiaojun spoke to the audience about the successful partnership between the two institutions. Over the past 20 years, Humber and Ningbo University have worked collaboratively to ensure that students receive the highest standard of education, with pathways that lead to academic and career success both in China and in Canada.

The celebration was attended by over 100 alumni including students from the first graduating class. After completing the diploma program at Humber, many graduates have continued their education by completing degrees and masters programs at York University and Bishops University in Canada and Davenport University in the USA. Since completing their education all alumni have established strong careers and a number of graduates have also gone on to become successful entrepreneurs running their own business.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary, a special video was shown during the celebration highlighting the unique aspects that truly make this program extraordinary.
Congratulations to both Humber and Ningbo University for their dedication to student success.
