There are a wide range of scholarships and awards available to Business School students who have demonstrated academic excellence and/or student leadership in their academic programs and in the community.

Giving to Humber
Awards and scholarships are donated by many of our individual and corporate supporters along with faculty, staff and administration. Scholarships and Awards range from monetary to program related gifts. Gifts to student awards and scholarships will help reduce a student’s financial burden, allowing them to work less, directly increasing their chances of success. Your gift will help more students achieve excellence.
Special Awards
The Business School offers 6 special awards. Each award requires the applicant to submit an essay. The instructions for the essays vary, please click on the award list below to review criteria. Applications for Special Awards are accepted annually between May and September. Applications for this academic year are now closed.
This award goes to a full-time Business School Student who is returning to complete their program of study and who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their academic studies, the Business School and the community. Students interested in this award apply in writing by describing their academic achievements to date, their involvement in Business School and college activities, and their commitment to community service.

This award goes to a full-time Business School Student who has demonstrated an exceptional aptitude for research, including mastery of research design, qualitative and quantitative data acquisition and analysis, and use of electronic sources. Maggie Trott was an invaluable resource to many Business students as a long-time librarian at the Lakeshore Campus. Students interested in this award apply in writing by describing their aptitude and mastery of research design, data acquisition and analysis and their use of electronic sources.

This award goes to a full-time International Student from The Business School who is carrying a full load of courses as per the curriculum schedule, has achieved exceptionally high grades and who has demonstrated a strong commitment to his/her studies. Students interested in this award apply in writing describing their commitment to their academic achievements.

This award goes to a full-time International Student from The Business School who is carrying a full load of courses as per the curriculum schedule and has demonstrated his/her commitment to Humber's campus life through their active participation in activities such as athletics, residence life, peer mentoring, peer tutoring, HSF, ambassador programs, event planning, cultural activities, etc. Students interested in this award apply in writing describing their commitment to their academic achievements and to campus life.

Awarded annually to a full-time International Student from The Business School for outstanding commitment to their academic studies, extracurricular activities and who has shown perseverance in overcoming a barrier or challenge. Frank Franklin, former Director of International Programs who retired in 2005, has supported the achievements of many international Business students. To be eligible for this award students must be carrying a full-time course load and apply in writing describing their commitment to their academic achievements, extracurricular activities and a challenge or barrier that he or she has surpassed.

This award goes to a full-time, third-year Business Administration Student who has demonstrated a passion for finance through course work and/or extracurricular activities. To be eligible the student must have completed all the prerequisite courses for Strategic Management (BGMT 500). Hank Bedard taught accounting, finance, and business policy at Humber for more than 25 years. Students interested in this award apply in writing by documenting their passion for finance as demonstrated in their course work and/or extracurricular activities.

The $2,500 scholarship incentive
Humber wants you to upgrade your education. Those who do qualify will receive a one-time scholarship of $2,500 ($1,250 each semester) - the only one of its kind in Canada.
Only students who have completed a two or three-year diploma at a publicly-funded college are eligible, and they must have a program GPA of 80% or higher. However, diplomas do not have to be related to the degree program of choice and are not tied to the eligibility for advanced standing or transfer credit.
Humber students may apply directly to the college by completing the online application.
Graduates from other colleges should apply through ontariocolleges.ca.Applying through the centralized application centre allows for the transmission of both your application and your college transcripts.
Launch Me Entrepreneurship Program
Launch Me workshops are aimed to help students and alumni receive the training and skills they need to take their business idea to the next level. The competition requires a completed application and business plan submission, and chosen finalists are expected to pitch to a panel of judges for an opportunity to receive a portion of, up to $20,000, in seed funding for their business.
