FACULTY MEMBER TRAVELS TO MONGOLIA FOR VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE

In July 2017, Anita A. John, Program Coordinator of the Law Clerk program, worked at the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a tax and e-commerce advisor. The organization is devoted to the development of international trade and investment in Mongolia’s business community.

Anita shared international best practices in tax law that she acquired from her Masters in Tax Law. She provided recommendations to the research local tax law team on what the optimal tax rate model for the current Mongolian tax law system should be. Anita presented a leadership seminar to the Women’s Entrepreneurial Council. Additionally, Anita presented two seminars on e-commerce with topics ranging from customer relationship management to using social media as digital tools to leverage the export potential of small and medium business enterprises.
