HUMBER TEAM PLACES SECOND AT GUELPH-HUMBER MOOTING COMPETITION

May 16, 2019

On April 27, three Humber teams participated in the first International Guelph-Humber Mooting Competition. The three team members included Paralegal Degree students Danny Pallag, Breanne Peacock and Mushfiq Mawla. Breanne and Daniel placed 2nd overall in the preliminary rounds, and, on day two, advanced to the Finals.

Breanne, Daniel, and Mushfiq all received distinguished advocate awards. This was especially spectacular as Mushfiq competed alone. Only eight of these awards were distributed, one of which being the top advocate award. All three students worked very hard and did an outstanding job of representing Humber and the Paralegal Studies Degree program.
