When Heather Brock and Kyla Golea were asked to enter the Restaurant Services competition, little did they know what was in store for them. These two Hospitality Event Management students welcomed the opportunity to represent Humber College in this highly competitive category. With many students training for a year, and some for even two years, Heather and Kyla had only 6 weeks to prepare. With the help of coaches, Nicole Chuchmach, Chef Trevor Meynert, Colin Bartley, and Antonio Folino, both students learned not only how to cook tableside (Shrimp Cocktails, Steak Diane, and Crepes Suzette), but how to perform traditional French service. After a full day of competition, we would like to thank both of these students for representing Humber College in the Restaurant Services Competition. We are very proud to announce that Heather Brock brought home the GOLD medal in this very prestigious competition. Congratulations Heather!
