Human Resources Management (HRM) students from the Business School’s postgraduate and degree programs participated in Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) trade show on February 1st, 2nd and 3rd at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Seventy-five students volunteered at Humber’s booth where they gained valuable hands-on experience doing outreach and networking to promote and support Humber’s HRM programs, student work placements and Humber-industry partnerships at Canada’s largest HRM trade show. The HRM students were professional and engaging and did a great job representing Humber and the Business School. There were over 250 visitors to Humber’s HRM booth and important contacts were made with placement employers, industry partners, and potential Humber students for the HRM, as well as other Business School programs.
Special thanks to Humber Business School professors: Stan Arnold, Glenn Belanger and Kathryn Filsinger and placement advisors: Mary Anne Myers and Lidia Siino, who also volunteered at the booth, and to program coordinators Parveen Gill and Michelle Souilliere who organized and managed Humber’s involvement in the HRPA trade show.
