Congratulations to Francis Derick Flores the Worldchefs Challenge Gold winner from Canada, who will go on to represent the Americas in Russia 2020 at the Worldchefs Congress. The competition was hosted at Humber and four lucky Humber Culinary students were chosen to support the competition and network with Worldchefs Level A judges.

Congratulations to 4th-year students in the Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Program for their success in their Accounting Capstone course. This year, the course had the support of CPA Ontario. On Saturday, April 27, students from the Faculty of Business gathered at the Lakeshore campus for the very first Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition (OCMC) boot camp. The event was generously organized by Humber’s marketing professors to allow 27 of the top students to network, meet the OCMC coaches and test their marketing skills.
On April 12, 2019, Paralegal Degree students held the Second Annual Aboriginal Moot at the Lakeshore Campus. The Aboriginal Moot was the capstone assignment for students in the Indigenous Legal Perspectives course.

Meet Sagar Vankwani from the Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting Program. In the summer of 2018, Sagar had the opportunity to participate in a study abroad program at Hungkuang University in Taichung, Taiwan, which he describes as the best two weeks of his life.
On March 20th, First Semester students from the Hospitality, Hotel & Restaurant Operations Management program visited the Westin Hotel Toronto Airport on a field trip. The trip was part of the student's experiential learning experience. During the visit, students had the opportunity to tour the entire hotel, including guest rooms, banquet facilities, laundry, kitchen, housekeeping and staff facilities, which helped to enhance their learning of various facets of hotel operations.

The FCBB held a networking event and awarded the Business School with the 2017 FCBB Award of Excellence.
On April 15th, the Humber Human Resources Society, a student-run and elected committee that arranges campus events, organized an alumni panel discussion titled, Life After Humber, for the Human Resources Management graduating class.

My name is Christine Hagen and I am currently a second year Digital Business Management student. During my first year of studies at Humber, I really wanted to make my education count. Parveen Gill has been actively involved in The Mentoring Partnership program offered by TRIEC for seven years. This time, Parveen’s passion for giving back to society, empower people, enhance capacity and stimulate her own learning pursuit took her to Hanoi, Vietnam. She volunteered through Leave for Change program.

The training in Paris was similar to our classes in finance, logistics and proposal writing and the security training was also very familiar to me from class. On September 28th, Nottingham Trent University’s International Officer William Burns, held an Information Session for all Humber Fashion Arts students who are interested in their BA International Fashion Business Program. The session was well attended with 30 fashion students. After the presentation and one on one consultations, five Humber students were offered admission on the spot.
