The Dean’s Message

This fall has shown us what sets our learners and educators apart. October brought national recognition, standout performances, and hands-on learning that’s shaping the future of business in real time.

A standout this month was ReShade, created by the student-led team Enactus Humber Polytechnic, which was recognized as a national leader in sustainable beauty innovation. The team earned the 2025 Beauty’s Best Technology Product Award, a testament to how students are driving meaningful change across industries.

Equally exciting was the outstanding performance of Professional Golf Management students, who showed skill and sportsmanship at both the provincial and national levels. Jordon Newlands captured gold, Susan Chen earned silver in the women’s individual competition, and both teams brought home overall medals, gold for the women and silver for the men. Their success reflects the high standards of our program and the hard work they’ve put into honing their craft.

Across programs, students also embraced experiential learning this month. Baking and Pastry Arts Management students explored Toronto’s top culinary destinations, Fashion students turned ideas into eye-catching installations, and Paralegal Studies students advanced their legal tech skills through hands-on eDiscovery training.
