NEAT KNITS
Students were proud to present their Fall 2015 window display presentation featuring merchandise provided by our generous corporate sponsor TJX Canada.
The window features an assortment of charcoal and raspberry coloured chunky knit fashions and foot stools courtesy of Winners, Marshalls and HomeSense. Thirty over sized balls of wool were created by wrapping beach balls and yoga balls with merino wool, which required a full day of preparation for the install. Life size sheep statues, sporting chunky knit infinity scarves, completed the theme and added a whimsical attention getter to this display.
Students were thrilled to realize that they had managed to capture the attention of the president of TJX Canada, Doug Mizzi, who has generously offered to treat Humber's window installation team for lunch as a special thank you for their hard work. His recognition of their efforts was an unexpected reward for students who are attempting to build their portfolios in preparation for a career in fashion.
