The Metallica display features 25 giant reflective holiday ornaments, 440 square feet of mirrored paper, 17 domed security mirrors and six metallic snow shovels, which together, created this dynamic holiday inspired visual presentation.
To add a sense of whimsy, students arranged mannequins to look like they are busy shoveling mounds of reflective holiday ornaments with their trendy metallic snow shovels. Mannequins, sporting an array of reflective merchandise, including: high end moto jackets, snow suits, bell bottom trousers and oversized puffer coats, make the typically mundane task of shoveling snow, look, down right glamorous.
Twenty fashion students, from all three of our programs, worked diligently over a two day period to suspend all of the props in this dramatic window display. The visual presentation will remain in the window until February 2019, at which time it will be transferred into the Pop Up shop/Showroom at the The Fashion Institute.
