This window display introduced Spring 2016 by featuring mannequins dressed with structured, high contrast, origami inspired pleated merchandise. Extra large white floral topiary balls served as fabulous head pieces which were surrounded by hundreds of delicate butterflies. Twenty intricate paper globe lights, which replicated the props used in the fashion imagery, filled the 450 square foot space.
Students worked diligently over a two day weekend to complete the entire project.
Challenges faced included suspending butterflies to look like they were in flight and assembling all the lights to meet our tight deadline. High-end origami inspired merchandise was easy to locate but well above our price range, so, students created their own folded embellishments to stay on theme and on budget.
