4th Semester in Europe

The Faculty of Business at Humber College offers hospitality and tourism students a unique opportunity to enroll in a 4th Semester in Europe program. This is cultural experience program includes many group excursions where students explore France and Germany as a tourism destination. Your adventure includes half and full day excursions to explore hotels, wineries, breweries as well as the full immersion in into unique dining experiences and the European culture. Time to personally explore Europe is key to the study abroad experience!

In January and February students spend 8 weeks living, touring and studying in Europe! While there, students will take unique experiential courses that count towards the completion of their 4th semester credits. Based in Strasbourg, France we live in the beautiful Château de Pourtalès which is a 18th-century castle nestled in a magnificent park in Strasbourg, France.

Students pay Humber tuition and Semester 4 Europe program fees. Program details and costs will be available in September. Information sessions and applications start in week one of fall classes.

Program Includes


  • 48 nights at the Château de Pourtalès in Strasbourg France
  • 5 nights during the Grand Tour of France


  • Daily European Breakfast
  • Dinner Monday to Thursday while in Strasbourg


  • Strasbourg Transit Pass
  • Private coach for all excursions
  • Metro Pass while in Paris
  • Private coach during the Grand Tour of France

Grand Tour of France

Private coach transportation from Strasbourg to Paris including 1 night Beaune, 1 night Reims, 3 nights Paris (accommodations with breakfast daily, public transportation pass in Paris)

  • Humber tuition - semester 4 fees
  • Airfare and cancellation insurance
