Entrepreneurship training is integrated into all programs. The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship, along with other highly specialized facilities deliver authentic learning experiences. Industry projects, work-integrated learning, competitions and events help students expand their knowledge, hone their skills and make their great, even greater.

The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (Longo CfE) is for everyone who wants to explore the world
of entrepreneurship. The Longo CfE provides opportunities for like-minded individuals to meet, collaborate, and create. No matter their passion, interest, or previous entrepreneurial experiences, the Longo CfE has specialized experiential learning opportunities that will stimulate new ways of thinking and support their unique goals.
We believe in providing support to entrepreneurs. We enable our members to innovate, creatively problem solve, and engage in entrepreneurial activities. We support Humber students, alumni and faculty/staff at their earliest stages of entrepreneurship: when they learn to recognize opportunities; develop, analyze and refine ideas; create plans; form teams; and pitch ideas.
As part of Humber’s Centres for Innovation network (COIs) we provide interdisciplinary and experiential learning opportunities for students to become innovative and strategic problem solvers. While every member may not choose to start their own business, the Longo CfE facilitates skills based training programs required to help our members be successful in whatever career path they decide to pursue.
The Longo CfE supports all Humber Campus’s and at the G-Building at Humber’s Lakeshore Campus, there are a variety of special rooms and physical resources available to students, alumni, and community.

The Idea Lab is a new library initiative designed to support digital literacies at Humber College. The Idea Lab has three components: studio spaces, workshops, and online resources. The Idea Lab team holds regular open workshops on a variety of topics such as creating videos, building simple websites, and 3D printing.
The amount of love and support I received from every faculty member that I came across helped me to grow, achieve my goals and become the Chef I am today. The learning opportunity there allowed me to take my first trip ever and complete an internship in Italy.
Enactus is a group of passionate student entrepreneurs from Humber College, Toronto, getting together with the idea to create a positive and sustainable impact on the lives of people through innovative social projects. Their main goal is to support young students realize their entrepreneurial dreams while giving them a first hand experience working with diverse communities.
Jade Jager Clark has styled herself the kind of entrepreneurial life that Hollywood dreams of. The Founder and propulsive force behind Jade’s Hip Hop Academy, a prize-winning youth dance school of over 200 kids based in Brampton.
Longo Faculty of Business has partnered with educational institutions from around the world through joint programming, partnerships and exchanges.
The Sulawesi Economic Development Strategy project (SEDS) was a five-year $4.6 million project funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) and implemented by Humber, in partnership with seven university partners in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Humber delivered applied entrepreneurship curriculum development, set up business support centres, and helped the partner universities enable networking opportunities amongst local Indonesian stakeholders.
Longo Faculty of Business’ semester exchange programs provide students the opportunity
to try something new, be ahead of the curve, and experience the world and academics in a completely new global approach. Exchanges are set up between Humber and an academic institution of similar stature abroad. Longo Faculty of Business has partner institutions in Ireland, Scotland, England, Denmark, The Netherlands, Austria, Japan, Jamaica, Sweden, New Zealand and more!
The Humber-China partnership is an International Business Administration diploma program jointly administered by Humber and Ningbo University. The Humber-Ningbo program is considered one of the most successful and longest standing Canada-China post-secondary programs with over 2,500 students graduating from the program since 1996. This extraordinary program provides Humber-Ningbo students with a pathway to both academic and career success. Students receive international education and cultural experiences throughout the three-year program.
In partnership with the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality & Tourism (NKUHT), Humber provides Taiwanese students the chance to study, explore Canada and gain exposure to the hospitality industry. Students study English and complete a work placement in Canada. As part of the two-way exchange partnership, Longo Faculty of Business students can participate in a semester abroad program in Taiwan. Students spend 18-weeks living, touring and studying at NKUHT. Students take unique experiential courses toward the completion of their 4th semester and work integrated learning credits.
