Great things are happening within the Longo Faculty of Business partnership with the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT) in Taiwan.
All six NKUHT students who joined Humber’s Hospitality and Tourism programs in 2023-2024 completed their summer placements and earned their Humber credentials. Culinary Management student Gretta Clarrisa and Baking and Pastry Arts Management student, Ye Phin Lin were honoured with the Academic Award of Excellence for their exceptional academic performance. Congratulations to them for all of their hard work.
This year, two NKUHT students are pursuing Culinary Management at Humber, set to complete their Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) placements in 2025. Additionally, the faculty looks forward to welcoming three new NKUHT students in winter 2025, with one student in Recreation and Leisure Services and two in Hospitality – Event Management. This expanded program offers NKUHT students the flexibility to study at Humber for a full year with a WIL placement or for just one semester across a broader range of classes, increasing opportunities for inbound mobility.
In October, Associate Director Michelle Krivacic and International Partnerships Manager Emily Riche visited NKUHT to recruit for the 2025-2026 school year. Following the visit, eleven students were accepted to Humber Polytechnic, strengthening the partnership and setting the stage for another successful year of cultural and academic exchange.
