Tourism Students Embark on Thrilling Treetop Trek

Tourism students experienced an exhilarating treetop trekking expedition to Treetop Trekking in Brampton as part of the TRAV 224: Niche Tourism course, organized by Tourism - Travel Services Management Professor Kevin Smith.

Students witnessed a niche tourism operator up close, assessing operations, safety standards, and risk management in delivering niche tourism products.

Equipped with safety gear and harnesses, the students conquered suspended bridges, ziplines, and other thrilling aerial obstacles up to 100 meters in the trees. Beyond physical and mental resilience, the experience fostered teamwork and camaraderie among the students amidst the breathtaking natural surroundings.

Professor Smith lauded the treetop trekking expedition as a thrilling blend of adventure and education that broadened the students' horizons and deepened their understanding of niche tourism.
