Tourism Professor Leads Students on a Sustainable Walking Tour of Downtown Toronto

On April 12th, Tourism Professor Dr. Ryan Snider guided students in the TOUR 4504: Globalization and Sustainable Development course on a sustainable walking tour of downtown Toronto.

During the tour, students had the opportunity to learn about the city's sustainability initiatives, population pressures, demographic shifts, homelessness concerns and the role that tourism plays as an economic driver.

By actively engaging with their surroundings students not only expanded their theoretical knowledge but also developed an appreciation for the multifaceted nature of sustainable practices in an urban environment. This experiential learning opportunity provided an ideal platform for students to bridge the gap between classroom teachings and real-world applications.
