Tourism - Travel Services Management student, Marygold Anne Santos has been named the recipient of this year's Baxter Student Ambassador Program (BSAP), an initiative that recognizes exceptional student talent in the field of tourism and hospitality across Canada's top colleges and universities. Launched in partnership with Humber College in 2015, the program selects one graduating student from each participating institution based on their academic achievements, industry involvement, community engagement, leadership abilities, and a skill-testing project.
During her winning presentation, Marygold confidently integrated the knowledge and practical skills acquired through her studies at Humber with her prior experience as a flight attendant. She captivated and expertly engaged the audience with her public speaking abilities, professionalism, and passion for the tourism industry.
As one of the elite student ambassadors, Marygold will have the opportunity to choose from a range of prizes, including bursaries, internships, and Air Canada flight tickets to any destination. Moreover, she will enjoy valuable prospects for learning and networking throughout the upcoming year. Additionally, she will benefit from industry exposure through a profile feature spread in The Travel Courier.
