Supply Chain Management Students Bring Home Bronze From ASCM Case Competition

In a noteworthy showcase of talent and skill, Supply Chain Management graduate certificate students made their mark by securing third place in the ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) Case Competition on October 28th.

The competition presented a challenge to the students, demanding the application of their analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities to devise strategic recommendations for LCBO regarding inventory right-sizing strategies. Throughout an intensive day of collaboration, data analysis, and the final presentation before a panel of judges, the Humber team, comprised of SCM students Abin Ninan, David Braganza, Gokul Omanakuttan, and Siddhant Garde, emerged victorious among 13 other teams representing numerous colleges across Ontario. Adarsh Govind, Sumit Rathod, and Vysakh Prabhakaran were on the second Humber team and also displayed commendable performance in the competition.

Post-competition reflections from the students emphasized how the event not only expanded their knowledge and provided a platform to exhibit their analytical proficiencies but also instilled an appreciation for the significance of effective teamwork and collaboration.
