HLOs:
On the first day of Taylor Swift's highly anticipated Eras Tour stop in Toronto, Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management students had the unique opportunity to explore the Sheraton Centre Toronto in a way few others will. Despite the excitement surrounding the concert, the hotel’s leadership team generously dedicated time to engage with students, offering valuable insights into the dynamic hospitality industry.
Amid the buzz of concert-goers, Sheraton's leadership and guest services teams took the time to share their personal experiences and expertise, giving students a closer look at what it takes to succeed in the industry. One of the most inspiring moments of the visit came when Humber alumni, now part of Sheraton’s leadership team, shared their career journeys. Their success stories highlighted the real-world impact of the education and training they received, showcasing the caliber of graduates from the program.
As students interacted with professionals in the field, they made meaningful connections while experiencing the excitement of the Eras spirit that filled the hotel. The students left feeling inspired, having gained firsthand knowledge and insights that will serve them throughout their careers in hospitality.
A special thanks to the Sheraton Centre Toronto for their hospitality and for making this such a memorable experience for our students.
