A group of Hospitality – Hotel and Restaurant Operations Management students seized the opportunity to participate in the Greater Toronto Hotel Association's (GTHA) Annual Hotel Summit hosted at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel on May 17th.
The summit united over 250 industry leaders and partners for a full-day event featuring panel discussions and presentations. The agenda encompassed a diverse range of industry subjects, aimed at informing, educating, and inspiring attendees.
Sponsorship from Program Advisory Committee (PAC) Member, Murray Kelsey’s Courtyard Marriott Hotel provided the opportunity for three graduating students, Nicholas Gadoo, Arooj Murtaza, and Harman Singh, alongside Program Co-ordinator Kristy Adams, to attend the summit. This event not only offered a comprehensive outlook on the hotel industry's landscape within the Greater Toronto Area and across Canada but also provided valuable networking opportunities with leaders in the field.
In addition to the attending students, two Hospitality Management students, Jessica Carrera Valle and Prempreet Grewal, were selected to volunteer at the event. The students welcomed and assisted all attendees during the registration process, to support and ensure a flawless event.
Humber College extends its gratitude to the GTHA, Murray Kelsey, and the students who attended and volunteered, exemplifying the institution's commitment to fostering exceptional educational experiences and industry connections.
