Principles, Cofounded by Fundraising Management Alumni Wins OVATION Award

Humber alumni Zach Zimmel started the firm Principles (withprinciples.com) 2 years ago. Faced unexpectedly with a pandemic not long after, he found himself working round the clock helping charities move campaigns and activities online to meet the demands to keep their essential fundraising and programmatic work going.

The firm Principles focuses on developing forward-thinking integrated marketing strategy and creative campaign work to causes and charities they are passionate about. Zach says,

”Once upon a time I had a dream that I could do the work I love with nonprofits every single day. That I could be picky when choosing which clients and projects I take on, and the people with whom I surround myself. That I could find a way to prioritize my work and my mental health at the same time. Two years ago, that dream turned into Principles.”

In May, Principles was awarded the OVATION Award of Distinction for Boutique Agency of the Year award. In addition, IABC/Toronto's OVATION Award of Excellence and Merit was received by Principles for their shared work with UNHCR Canada for the Tastes from Home Cookbook campaign. Congratulations to Zach and the team at Principles for these well-deserved awards.
