Jade Moore is a double Longo Faculty of Business graduate, combining her undergraduate in International Development with a graduate certificate degree in Fundraising Management. This combination has proved to be valuable as nonprofits are looking to raise crucial resources for their work. Graduating mid-pandemic, Jade's skills have been put to great use in a full-time position at the Humanitarian Coalition
"I am a double graduate of Humber," says Jade. Initially, I graduated in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in International Development. "After some experience as a corporate research intern at WaterAid Canada for my undergraduate degree, I quickly became more interested in the fundraising side of International Development. I recently returned to Humber and received a graduate certificate in the Fundraising Management program. One of the reasons why I love Humber so much is because of the practical aspect of the many programs they offer."
"I am now a Donor Relations Officer at the Humanitarian Coalition. In this role, I communicate with and steward donors, manage and coordinate the donor database, report and much more. With all of the great experience I received through the Humber Fundraising Program, I was able to hit the ground running in the busiest time of year. Landing a job during a pandemic certainly wasn’t easy, but patience was key. I found it was really important to be open to every opportunity out there and to be willing to put together a reasonable home office space. Learning a new job online has had its challenges but it has made me feel ready to take on anything!"
