Bachelor of Commerce – Finance degree student, Saliha Hussaini, stands out for her resilience, determination, and passion for knowledge. Her journey, deeply influenced by her Afghan roots, reflects her commitment to creating positive change within the finance sector.

Saliha’s interest in finance began in Afghanistan, where she recognized how financial literacy could empower families and communities. She started her academic journey at Kabul University, but political upheaval in Afghanistan abruptly halted her studies, forcing her to leave her homeland.

Arriving in Canada brought new hope and a renewed path forward. Drawn to Humber Polytechnic for its academic rigour and supportive community, Saliha joined the Bachelor of Commerce – Finance program. Since then, she has fully embraced her studies, immersing herself in a challenging curriculum and participating in Humber’s virtual events and networking opportunities to gain valuable industry connections. She is also focused on securing internships that will provide her with practical experience and insight into the financial world.

Saliha's story is one of adaptability and resolve. From navigating obstacles in Afghanistan to building a future in Canada, she is driven by a vision of meaningful impact in finance. Her unique background and steadfast dedication underscore her ambition to succeed, and she is determined to pursue her dreams with purpose and confidence.
