Fashion Art Toronto’s 1664 Fashion Week was a thrilling event, featuring bold runway shows, art installations, and a lively Fashion Playground. This year's theme, BLOOM, celebrated spring and summer with imaginative collections inspired by the energy of nature.

Held from May 2nd to 5th, Fashion Week Toronto provided an exceptional opportunity for students to network with designers, media professionals, and fashion enthusiasts. Working alongside World of Folklore by Sana Sapra, a successful Humber alumna, was particularly inspiring. Sana's designs embodied the BLOOM theme, showcasing the talent and creativity nurtured at Humber.

This event offered invaluable networking opportunities and real-world experience, as students were given media passes to attend and engage directly with the fashion industry. Their involvement extended beyond enjoying the shows; they actively created social media content, capturing the essence of the event and highlighted the unique designs of various brands. This hands-on experience enhanced their skills in content creation and social media management.

The runway shows featured both contemporary and avant-garde collections, while the Fashion Playground added to the excitement with its 1664 Bar, guest lounge, pink carpet, and photo opportunities. Over twenty-five local brands and artisans participated in pop-up shops, adding a dynamic shopping experience to the event.

Fashion Art Toronto's 1664 Fashion Week was a fantastic learning experience, providing students with the chance to work with World of Folklore and connect with talented individuals in the fashion industry. The event inspired and deepened their passion for fashion, highlighting the importance of such experiences in shaping future fashion professionals.

The success of this event underscores the significant opportunities available to Humber students to engage with the fashion industry, gain practical experience, and celebrate the achievements of alumni like Sana Sapra.
