Bachelor of Commerce degree program students collaborated with peers in the Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management graduate certificate program to explore emerging industry trends and bring them to life through a podcast series, leveraging AI tools to enhance their storytelling.
The Trends in Tourism podcast is a cross-disciplinary initiative developed through two courses offered at the Longo Faculty of Business:
- BUS 1500: Business Information Systems, led by Hanadi Alnawab, to Bachelor of Commerce degree students
- HTOM 5508: Trends in Tourism and Hospitality, led by Anke Foller-Carroll, to students in the Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management program
This collaboration was made possible with the support of Humber’s Idea Lab, whose resources and guidance continue to help students transform classroom learning into applied, real-world experiences.
Special appreciation is extended to the guest attendees who participated in the podcast launch event. Their presence, encouragement, and thoughtful feedback added meaningful value to the student experience.
