Shonah Chalmers, Chair of the Worldchefs – World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS) Feed the Planet, Sustainability and Inclusivity Committee and full-time Culinary Professor, attended the annual Worldchefs Feed the Planet partners’ meeting in Paris, hosted at the Worldchefs headquarters with the full office and management team.

Over two days, strategic discussions were held with key global partners including AIESEC, the Electrolux Food Foundation, and Custom Culinary (Griffith Foods). These conversations helped shape several forward-looking initiatives for the years ahead, as well as innovative concepts for the upcoming Worldchefs Congress, to be held in May 2026 in Newport, Wales.

The meeting underscored a shared commitment to advancing sustainability and education across the culinary and hospitality sector—values that strongly align with Humber’s applied learning approach. Through her teaching and leadership, Professor Chalmers continues to connect global sustainability initiatives directly to student learning and industry impact.
