Marketing Students Place Second in Map the System Competition

The Business - Marketing program faculty have much to celebrate as their mentored group of students placed second overall out of thirty-six final submissions in the Map the System competition. The impressive achievement was made possible by over one hundred and sixty students from different faculties, departments, and programs who came together to tackle complex global issues through systems thinking.

Map the System is a global competition that challenges students to think beyond traditional solutions and quick fixes. Instead, it encourages participants to approach social and environmental challenges through the lens of systems thinking. This approach allows students to gain a deeper understanding of complex problems and their underlying causes, which in turn leads to more effective and sustainable solutions.

Humber has been participating in the Map the System Competition for four years, and this latest achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students, staff, and educators involved in the program. By devoting their time and energy to systems thinking and tackling global challenges, they have demonstrated their commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

Congratulations to all of Humber's students, staff, and educators who participated. We look forward to seeing the innovative ideas that Humber's students will bring to the table at next year's competition.
