The Longo Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE), in partnership with the Canadian Junior Golf Association (CJGA) and the Professional Golf Management - Business Administration program, hosted the Golf CJGA Hackathon. This innovative event aimed to create a Certified Caddie Program (CCP) that is inclusive and practical for participants of all skill levels.

Participants engaged in interactive workshops and brainstorming sessions to design a comprehensive CCP featuring educational materials, visual aids, quizzes, and course maps. The program’s objective is to empower parents, siblings, and amateur caddies with the knowledge to support junior golfers effectively.

The hackathon culminates in December with pitch presentations to CJGA representatives, where teams will showcase their solutions. The top-performing teams will be awarded $525, while runners-up will receive $325, celebrating their creativity and contributions to junior golf.

The event emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and skill-building while shaping the future of caddying in Canada. Winners will be announced in December’s Dean’s Newsletter.
