The Humber Golf Lab

The Humber Golf Lab is a true experiential learning environment for students. Equipped with the latest high-tech simulator and golf equipment fitting tools, The Humber Golf Lab is a world-class facility and the only one of its kind across all Colleges and Universities in Canada.

Students get the opportunity to learn the art and science of golf instruction, golf club fitting, and golf club building. With the use of video and 3D movement analysis equipment, students get the opportunity to learn the kinematic sequence and biomechanic principles of the golf swing.

The Humber Golf Lab will offer services to the Humber community including golf lessons, golf club fitting, golf club repair, and simulator golf. Our students will help provide these services as another opportunity for experiential learning.

Trackman Simulator Room

This golf simulator room is used for golf lessons, golf club fitting, swing analysis, and playing golf.

Equipped with the following software, technology and equipment:

  • Trackman 4 launch monitor – uses dual radar technology to track and analyze the flight and movement of the golf ball. This data is used in golf instruction, golf club fitting, and golf game simulation.
  • K-Motion – 3D motion learning sensors used to analyze body movement, to help understand kinematic sequencing, and biomechanic principles of the golf swing.
  • Sam Balance Lab Force Plate – used to measure ground reaction forces and pressure generated by the body during the golf swing, and quantify balance, gait and other parameters of biomechanics.
  • Video analysis – used to analyze body movements during the golf swing to help understand kinematic sequencing, and biomechanic principles.
  • Quintic Ball Roll – uses high-speed cameras and advanced imaging technology to track and analyze ball movement used for putter fitting and putting training.
