Golf Professor Named Inaugural Recipient of Community Spirit Award

Golf Canada and the Golf Canada Foundation were pleased to announce that Professional Golf Management Professor Bob Beauchemin has been named the inaugural winner of the Lorie Kane Community Spirit Award for demonstrating excellence in using golf as a platform to positively impact the community.

Professor Beauchemin was nominated for his efforts to advance junior golf including First Tee Canada, as well as his mentorship to countless golf industry professionals through the Professional Golf Management program.

“I am very humbled to receive this wonderful honour,” said Beauchemin. “Golf has been an integral part of my life for almost 60 years and has given me so much. If I have, in any way, been responsible for passing on valuable knowledge or igniting a passion and love for the game of golf to the next generation, I feel it is a privilege.”
