On March 13th, the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) team hosted Talent Acquisition Officer, Didi Vaykarova and Training Manager, Maria Serereols from The Dorchester Collection, a renowned hotel brand based in London, England.
The purpose of their visit was to conduct two information sessions aimed at introducing the Commonwealth Programme to graduating students specializing in Hospitality, Culinary, Baking and Pastry, and Tourism programs. The Commonwealth Programme presents a unique opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of London, working at The Dorchester, 45 Park Lane, and Coworth Park — three prestigious and exceptionally beautiful locations within The Dorchester Collection.
The presentation highlighted four successful alumni from the Hospitality and Tourism Management Bachelor of Commerce and Baking and Pastry Management programs that were carefully selected as candidates over the past two years and have since flourished as valuable members of the team. Notably, Tia Mistry, one of the showcased students, has progressed from her initial involvement in the program to secure a well-deserved promotion as a Junior Sous Chef.
Students were excited about the prospect of gaining incredible international professional and personal experiences through this program. The event left them inspired and eager to pursue their aspirations of acquiring invaluable experiences through the Commonwealth Programme.
