Students Attend TJX Canada Home Tour

On February 6th, TJX, the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide opened its doors to students and members of the Work-Integrated Learning Centre for their Home Tour event.

Longo Faculty of Business students were welcomed by TJX staff and began their visit with an introduction to the layout of the building which allowed them to engage with the company culture. They also received a first-hand glimpse of what a typical day working with TJX could look like.

Followed by the tour, students gathered into the auditorium to listen to a panel of speakers discuss their experiences and career path with the company. There were 5 panelists from multiple departments including Planning & Allocation, Vendor Relations, Merchandise Administration and Store Level. Each panelist was inspiring and provided valuable information about working with TJX.

After the panel, students were invited to network with panelists and other employees to ask questions, build relationships and learn more about the company.

The event was well attended by multiple colleges. Humber was proudly represented by professional and eager students using their skill set to network and search for potential career opportunities.
