The Humber Fashion Squad, a team of eight passionate stylists from Fashion Management degree and graduate certificate programs as well as the Fashion Arts and Business diploma program, conducted a series of nine successful “Dress for Success” presentations.
The presentations were delivered to over 450 students from the International Graduate School (IGS) and Longo Faculty of Business programs including Event Management, Human Resources Management, Global Business Management, Tourism - Travel Services Management and Entrepreneurial Enterprise programs.
The student team of stylists included Katie Pittini, Heti Singh, Leona Zhu, Vanessa Aragnello, Valeria Cano, Lavneen Bhagat, Zaynab Egbeyemi. The stylists were led by Fashion Management alumnus Brendan Yhip and Program Coordinator Rossie Kadiyska to deliver tailored presentations, sharing advice and expertise on how to dress for success for the new Zoom era and beyond. Students also recieved the latest tips on plus-size fashion, gender-neutral fashion, tattoos and styling at work.
The team answered the students’ styling questions and will continue audience engagement through @humberboutique and @humberfashionpostgrad.
A big thanks to all of the students and faculty members Colin Bartley, John McNeil, Parveen Gill, Anke Foller, Tracy Grieveson and Susan Kates from the Longo Faculty of Business as well as Diane Simpson, Lara McInnis and Margaret Trellis from IGS for the warm welcome and for opening the doors to their classrooms.
