On February 15th, the Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Centre and the International Partnerships and Mobility team were joined by representatives from Florence University of the Arts (FUA) to provide summer opportunities to fashion students interested in completing their WIL program component in Florence, Italy.
Closely connected to Florence’s prominent fashion industry, FUA was a natural partner for building study abroad and WIL opportunities for Humber fashion students. Students were invited to learn more about FUA's work term summer abroad program where they would immerse themselves in Italian culture and receive international fashion retail experience. The information session hosted twenty interested students and provided them with valuable insights into this experiential learning opportunity as well as what FUA had to offer.
The event was an overall success - students were well-engaged and eager to participate.
