From the Coliseum to the Slopes: International Students Take on the Canadian Winter

This winter marked the first time many international partnership program students experienced a Canadian winter. To make the most of this chilly season, the International Partnerships Office organized a variety of quintessential Canadian winter activities for students enrolled in the Ningbo, NKHUT and inbound exchange programs.

On February 18th, the office took a group of forty students to the Coca-Cola Coliseum for the Toronto Marlies vs. Rochester Americans game. The students were treated to an exhilarating game, with the Toronto Marlies winning 5-1. They were amazed by the skill of the hockey players and joined in the cheering and chanting for the home team's victory.

Then, on February 25th, sixty students started their reading week with a full-day trip to the Blue Mountain Ski Resort. They learned to ski, enjoyed the picturesque snowy scenery, and explored the charming Blue Mountain Village. Despite most of them being first-time skiers, they confidently navigated down the slopes like seasoned pros by the end of the day. What a fantastic way to embrace Canadian Winter!

The International Partnerships Office is grateful to have had the opportunity to provide these incredible winter experiences to the students, and we hope that they will cherish these memories for years to come.
