On December 17th, a team of 25 culinary students and faculty from Humber Polytechnic joined forces with members of the Culinary Federation (CF) to volunteer at Second Harvest. Together, the group sorted and packaged an impressive 3,125 pounds of fresh vegetables, which were later distributed to families experiencing food insecurity across the Greater Toronto Area.
This initiative underscores Humber’s dedication to community engagement and social responsibility, showcasing the power of collaboration in addressing pressing issues like food insecurity. Through their efforts, the culinary team helped provide vital food resources to those in need, further reinforcing the Humber's commitment to supporting the community.
