Humber Polytechnic's Culinary students had the exclusive opportunity to assist at the Association of Italian Chefs of Canada's (AICC) annual Festa D’Autunno on November 17th. The event was a celebration of Italy's rich culinary traditions and provided a unique learning experience for the students as they explored the diverse regional cuisines of Italy.
Festa D’Autunno featured various chef stations reminiscent of traditional Italian food markets. The setup allowed the event's 360 guests to sample authentic dishes from various regions of Italy, immersing themselves in the country's culinary heritage.
For the students, the event was more than just a showcase of Italian gastronomy. It was a chance to develop their professional skills, including interpersonal communication, under the guidance of experienced chefs.
