This term, Mysha Khan proudly represented ACE Humber at the ACE Canada Nationals 2025, leading a talented team that included Roman Kazhdan, Franco Machado Flebbe, and Pavit Khangura. Competing in the Special Events category – the EY Ripples Challenge, the team focused on a case study for Climate Resilient Communities (CRC), a non-profit transforming climate action through innovative, data-driven strategies.

The challenge called for the development of strategic recommendations for CRC, exploring solutions in areas such as community engagement, funding models, and impact measurement. ACE Humber rose to the occasion, diving into the complexities of the case and delivering thoughtful, actionable solutions. Their outstanding performance earned them a 3rd place finish, surpassing competitors from Western University, Toronto Metropolitan University, Brock University, and the University of Toronto.

Hosted annually, ACE Canada Nationals is the flagship event of ACE (Achieve, Connect, Empower) Canada, one of the country’s largest undergraduate business student organizations. Humber Polytechnic is an active participant in the organization, which brings together more than 1,100 delegates from post-secondary institutions across Canada for a weekend-long conference.

The event features 17 case competitions spanning diverse areas such as marketing, finance, accounting, human resources, and entrepreneurship. Participants compete in teams or individually, analyzing real-world business problems and presenting their solutions to panels of industry professionals from companies like EY and RBC.

Beyond the competition, ACE Canada Nationals offers professional development workshops, keynote sessions, and valuable networking opportunities. The weekend concludes with an awards ceremony recognizing top-performing individuals and teams from across the country.

The competition’s emphasis on achievement, connection, and empowerment aligns with ACE Canada’s mission to cultivate the next generation of Canadian business professionals. By bringing together students from diverse backgrounds and institutions, ACE Canada Nationals fosters a spirit of collaboration and healthy competition that helps shape the future of Canadian business leadership.
