On March 30th, second-semester Tourism – Travel Services Management diploma students showcased their work during the first virtual tourism tradeshow as part of their Selling Destinations course series taught by Professor Anke Föller-Carroll.
With a focus on European cities, the students presented historic attractions, festivals, events and sightseeing options as well as local food and drink within their Zoom booths.
A huge thanks to the host of visitors that attended the tradeshow ranging from faculty, tourism students from other programs, personal acquaintances of presenters and industry partners. A special thanks to Nicole Chuchmach for providing great tech support backstage.
Learning to navigate Zoom in the process was a great simulation experience to prepare students with critical contemporary skills for their future careers.
Stay tuned for upcoming events to take place in the summer semester!
