PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING PRACTICE GRADUATE CERTIFICATE STUDENTS PLACED 1ST AND 3RD IN CPA ONTARIO CASE COMPETITION

CPA Ontario, in partnership with Uber Eats, hosted a data analytics case competition and networking event as part of the Post-Secondary Ambassador Program (PSAP). Students from universities and colleges across the GTHA were assigned groups and had one hour to analyze a case and provide a solution. Five teams were chosen to present their analysis and the staff from Uber Eats selected the top three teams. Two of Humber’s Professional Accounting Practice Graduate Students participated in this event and placed. Shawn Oliver was part of the 1st place team and Alice Yoo was part of the 3rd place team. There was also a presentation from staff at Luminari about how technology is changing the work CPAs do, and opportunities for CPAs within tech companies and startups.
