Paralegal Professor Speaks on Panel at the LSO

On March 4th Paralegal Education Professor Jennifer R. Ansell was invited to speak on a panel at the Law Society of Ontario (LSO) on the topic of "How to Successfully Pivot Your Practice: Lessons from the Pandemic."

The LSO is a regulatory body and major institution in Ontario. Graduates from the Paralegal Education program at Humber in the diploma program at the North Campus and degree program at the Lakeshore Campus are accredited and regulated by the LSO.

Alongside LSO Treasurer Teresa Donnelly; The Honorable Sharon Nicklas, Associate Chief Justice, Ontario Court of Justice; Paralegal Bencher Robert Burd; Shelina Lalji Professional Corporation President Shelina Lalji; Spark LLP Litigation Lawyer and Partner Jacqueline Horvat; Paralegal Continental Legal Services Professional Corporation owner John Tzanis and Professor Ansell delivered a half-day session sharing lessons for paralegal practitioners to take with them through 2021 and beyond.

"It's a rare honour to be asked to be on a panel with a Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice and a bencher," said Professor Ansell. "Our faculty for the Paralegal and Law Clerk programs are lawyers, judges and tribunal members (all regulated by the LSO) and the students like to see things their instructors are doing in the field."
