International Development students had the opportunity to engage with Kirk Lilwall from Blackbaud, a global leader in nonprofit technology solutions. During his visit, Kirk delivered an insightful demonstration of Blackbaud’s Raiser's Edge data management system, highlighting how strategic data use can significantly enhance fundraising efforts in the nonprofit sector.

The session emphasized the importance of robust data infrastructure in building donor relationships, tracking impact, and driving informed decision-making. Students explored real-world applications of generative AI integration, data analytics and donor management tools, gaining valuable insights into how technology can empower organizations to achieve their missions more effectively.

This hands-on experience not only deepened students’ understanding of the nonprofit landscape but also underscored the critical role of innovation and data in shaping the future of international development work.
