The International Business Association (IBA) hosted an in-person event centred on the theme of networking at the IBA Alumni Summit. The event featured Bachelor of Commerce - International Business alumni from the classes of 2016 through 2022.

Held at the Lakeshore Campus on November 24th, the Alumni Summit provided a platform for students from the International Business program to connect and engage with alumni to seek insights from their academic and professional journeys. All alumni took to the stage to tell their stories and explain the role the International Business program played in their development and achievements. They also offered valuable insights into their professional experiences, from work term to post-graduate employment or graduate school. The event proved to be an excellent networking opportunity, offering students critical insights and practical tips for navigating International Business settings.

The event’s success was a result of the collaborative efforts of the entire IBA team, evident through their consistent participation in weekly meetings. The IBA is a student-operated academic club committed to fostering excellence in international business education and professional development, continuing to create networking opportunities that empower its members for success in their future careers.

Professor and Program Co-ordinator Pierre-Pascal Gendron was present to welcome the alumni – all of whom passed through his classes – and spoke briefly to the group, expressing his gratitude to alumni for their return home and to the IBA and its members for the initiative.
