International Business Students Host Cross-Industry Insight Panel

The International Business Association (IBA) hosted a well-attended Cross-Industry Insight Panel at the Lakeshore Campus on March 19th. The panel was made up of four International Business (IB) graduates from diverse graduating classes and industries:
- Stephanie Fontes (2009), Senior Manager in an automotive retail CRM software business, is now managing an entrepreneurial business
- Kevin Marthinsen (2015), Commercial Real Estate and Project Financing Executive
- Sergiy Fomin (2018), Software Engineer, past DECA Competitor and Capstone Mentor at Humber
- Aayushi Tendulkar (2021), Operations Analyst in securities at one of Canada’s big banks
The panel featured a blend of prepared questions and Q&A that offered IB students a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights and guidance from accomplished professionals. Topics covered included professional paths, roads taken and not taken, critical success factors, and the IB program’s contribution to success. A networking session followed the formal panel.
The IBA continues its mission to provide impactful experiences for students so that they can apply newfound knowledge and connections to propel their careers forward with confidence and purpose. This was their second major event in 2023-24 featuring a group of IB alumni.
