The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group has launched a new initiative to support students in the Insurance Management – Property and Casualty program by funding a weekly snack table. The program, designed to alleviate student hunger, provides access to healthy snacks such as granola bars, fruit, and yogurt to ensure students are fueled for learning.
“No student should go hungry,” emphasized Barb Lambert, Acting Insurance Management – Property and Casualty Program Coordinator. Barb noted that some students face challenges in affording lunch, adding, “This is a meaningful investment for our students and our program. We are grateful to Commonwell for making this possible.”
The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group has a longstanding partnership with the Insurance Management program, offering academic scholarships, and full-time opportunities through their new Graduate Rotational Accelerated Development (G.R.A.D.) program, and actively participating in the Program Advisory Committee (PAC) and various student events.
A special thanks to Amanda Payne, Commonwell’s Employee Relations and Program Management Lead, for leading this initiative. Humber Polytechnic and the Longo Faculty of Business appreciate Commonwell’s ongoing commitment to student success in the Insurance Management program.
