Partnering for Progress: CABIP and Insurance Management Program Develop Future Industry Leaders

This February, the Canadian Association of Black Insurance Professionals (CABIP) marked Black History Month with the Insurance Management – Property and Casualty (P&C) program by showcasing the accomplishments of Black insurance professionals in the industry while highlighting the challenges they have faced along the way.

Throughout the week, students listened to powerful lectures from industry thought leaders who are members of CABIP. These speakers included:

The event also served as a platform for raising awareness about the need for greater diversity and inclusion within the insurance industry. CABIP is at the forefront of advocating for increased representation and advancement of Black insurance professionals in Canada, and is actively working to change mindsets among the next generation of insurance professionals.

The partnership between CABIP and the Insurance Management program is strong and focused on developing the next generation of insurance professionals. The event was an overwhelming success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of organizers including Ingrid Wilson, Andrew Munroe, Dionne Bowers, Sheldon Williams, David Watson, and Loretta Eldridge.
